Doctors have reported a considerable rise in cases of viral diarrhoea and typhoid among all age groups this season, which has shown an uptick in dengue, viral fever and hand-foot-mouth disease too. Most of the patients of viral diarrhoea and typhoid present with complaints of vomiting and loose motion. For quick relief, the doctors advised people to stay properly hydrated and consume food rich in potassium, known as the BRAT diet (banana, rice, apple juice and toast), besides taking due medical care.
