NHAI deletes provision of toll-free journey for long queue; starts live monitoring of 100 plazas

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) withdrew a 2021 policy that required toll plaza operators to let vehicles pass without paying if queues exceeded 100 meters. This rule, criticized for its impracticality, is now removed. NHAI implemented live feed systems to monitor traffic at busy toll plazas to manage long queues.
